Designing your tanning salon
You probably have a picture in your head of what you would like your salon to look like. A nice reception, retail and waiting area, the tanning rooms, bathroom, laundry room, storage and perhaps a break room for employees. Again, work with the right wholesaler and they can help provide you the perfect layout for the tanning equipment you intend on carrying. They have already done the research, so they know what your tanning customer likes.
As far as decoration, the reception and retail areas are what the customer sees when they walk in. You want them to be comfortable and relaxed. Soft lighting, televisions and the appropriate eye candy will tempt them to spend money on the retail they see lining the shelves. Offer free ice water.
There has been more of a decorating trend lately toward luxury. The tanning salon is becoming a spa type "experience" rather than a quick in & out type of place. Gone are the bright, white flourescents. It is not unusual to see rock gardens, waterfalls and other zen like interiors to calm the senses.
