High Pressure Tanning Beds

Actually it is the lamps themselves that are "high pressure." These lamps filter out more of the UVB rays and allow more of the UVA rays through. This allows for deeper tanning without the burn or skin cancer risks often associated with UVB rays. Since the tan from UVA rays does not exfoliate as quickly, skin stays moisturized and the tan lasts longer with fewer sessions. High pressure beds used to be for the serious tanners but with increased awareness by the consumer, they are fast becoming the tanning bed of choice.

High pressure tanning costs the customer more because the equipment is more expensive to make. Better fans and higher cooling systems are used. The tanning beds are made from quality steel rather than plastic. Even so, the comfort of your tanning customer is substantially increased while the length of their session is decreased.

Employees need to be properly trained to discuss which tanning bed is right for the customer's needs - it will make the difference between a repeat customer and one that never comes back again.
