Tanning Bed Acrylics

These are the hard plastic sheets in a tanning bed that you are laying on when you tan. They protect you from the heat of the tanning lamps. They will need to be thoroughly cleaned after each and every tanner. Specific cleansers are made for this purpose and usually only involve a spray down and wipe.

Acrylics come in many sizes and shapes. They will adapt to the specifications of your tanning bed so make sure your acrylics fit well! It doesn't hurt to have some extras on hand in case of accidents. If your Acrylic feels like sandpaper and is cloudy or no longer clear, this is evidence that the Acrylic has exceeded it's usable life. The sand paper feel and cloudiness of the Acrylic blocks some of the tanning UV rays and significantly reduces the tanning power of your bed, even with new lamps. Yes, they also occasionally scratch or crack. They can be purchased through all tanning supply wholesalers.
